Technical Specialist

Andrew J. Antczak is a technical specialist in Morgan Lewis’s Intellectual Property Practice. Dr. Antczak focuses his practice on patent drafting and prosecution, patentability and freedom-to-operate opinion work, due diligence, and strategic counseling in the areas of biotechnology, biologics, diagnostics, bioinformatics, and the life sciences. Dr. Antczak has expertise in the areas of molecular biology, structural biology, genetics, and computational chemistry.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Dr. Antczak was a patent scientist at a national law firm, where he assisted in patent drafting and prosecution, patentability and freedom-to-operate opinion work, due diligence, and litigation support.

Dr. Antczak earned his Ph.D. in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007, where he studied the genetic and biophysical interactions between histone and histone chaperone proteins. He earned his B.S., with high honors, in biochemistry and biotechnology from Michigan State University in 2001.
