Philip L. Hirschhorn is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Hirschhorn's practice focuses on intellectual property and patent litigation. Mr. Hirschhorn has extensive litigation and client counseling experience, with particular emphasis on representing clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.

Recently, he has been responsible for all aspects of litigations involving defense of a major pharmaceutical company’s patent rights from infringement by generic manufacturers.

Other representative experience includes prosecution of patent infringement actions on behalf of medical device manufacturers, coordination of  consumer products company defense in theft of trade secrets and breach of patent license agreement action, and prosecution of patent infringement action for manufacturer of electronic ear thermometers. Also represented pharmaceutical manufacturers in biotechnology litigations including patent and product license disputes.

In 1988, Mr. Hirschhorn received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he was an associate editor of the Fordham Law Review and an editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Report. He received his B.A. from Columbia College in 1984.

Mr. Hirschhorn is admitted to practice in New York.
