Tuan N. Nguyen is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Dr. Nguyen's practice focuses on intellectual property counseling, strategic portfolio development, patent procurement, and opinion work in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields. He has experience working with clients on matters involving organic chemistry, small molecule pharmaceuticals, proteins and nucleic acids, molecular diagnostics, microarrays, spectroscopic techniques, and computational biology.

As a graduate student, Dr. Nguyen studied the structure of amyloidogenic molecules, amyloid fibers, and DNA repair enzymes using techniques in solid- and solution-state nuclear magnetic resonance.

Dr. Nguyen earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2006; his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003; and his B.A. in chemistry, with high honors, from Oberlin College in 1998.

Dr. Nguyen is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
