Michael T. Moore is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice and a member of the Patent Practice. Our Patent Practice is composed of more than 75 lawyers, patent agents, and technical professionals, offering clients the skills necessary to fully protect today's products and ideas. Our integrated team spans a diverse array of technological disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, chemical, life sciences, biotechnology, and computer software. We offer our clients the background of a large group of former patent examiners at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Moore spent five years as a patent agent and four years as an engineer at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation. As a patent agent, Mr. Moore prepared and prosecuted U.S. patents and managed in-house patent processes. He also managed the valuation and sale of IP portfolios to third parties and negotiated licensing transactions. Mr. Moore's background includes the fields of data communications, programmable logic, memory devices, and electronic systems. Mr. Moore also worked in the area of process development and solar cells with Sunpower, a subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor. He holds 10 U.S. patents resulting from his work as an engineer.
Mr. Moore's pro bono work includes obtaining benefits for veterans and providing technology licensing advice.
Mr. Moore earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2007; his M.B.A. in finance from Santa Clara University in 2003; and his B.Eng., with honors, from the University of Limerick, Ireland in 1998.
Mr. Moore is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
