Albert Y. Huang is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Huang represents and counsels clients on a wide range of employment matters, including discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination, reasonable accommodation, and family/medical leave claims.

Mr. Huang defends both complex and single-plaintiff cases and has managed the defense of wage and hour and discrimination class actions. He has successfully tried cases, authored and argued numerous dispositive motions, and led workplace investigations of discrimination and wage and hour claims. He has represented employers in state and federal courts and before various administrative agencies, including the California Labor Commissioner, the U.S. EEOC, and the U.S. Department of Labor. He has represented clients in a variety of industries, including the retail, transportation, and media-entertainment industries.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Huang served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California, where he defended the federal government in civil litigation, including employment discrimination, immigration, prisoner rights, and constitutional cases. Prior to that, he served as an administrative judge with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, adjudicating federal employees' discrimination and harassment complaints.

Mr. Huang received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1997, where he was a Serranus Clinton Hastings Fellow. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in history from Princeton University in 1994.

Mr. Huang is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
