Emily K. Shields is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Shields focuses her practice on mass toxic tort and medical products liability, including industrial accident premises liability and wrongful death actions, commercial premises liability, and products liability. She has been involved in fact and expert witness depositions, the preparation and oral argument of a variety of pretrial and dispositive motions, mediations, settlement negotiations, and other pretrial and trial preparation to successful resolution.

Ms. Shields earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2000, where she was a member of the nationally recognized moot court team on which she served as a finalist and quarterfinalist orator and as a member of the brief team that was awarded the 1999 Scribes Brief Writing Award—taking second place nationally. She also was a member of the Dean's List and Phi Delta Phi, and worked as a research assistant, mediation trainer, and editor for articles published by the South Texas College of Law's Center for Legal Responsibility. Ms. Shields earned her B.A. in speech communication from Texas A&M University in 1997, where she was president of the 12th Man Student Foundation. She is a trained mediator.
