Stephen B. Judlowe is senior counsel in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Mr. Judlowe has been lead trial attorney litigating intellectual property rights for domestic and international interests for more than 30 years in federal district courts across the United States, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States International Trade Commission.
Mr. Judlowe has been responsible for patent matters involving all substantial areas of technology including electronics (computer and large scale memory systems, CATV and broadcast signal distribution and reception, NMR medical imaging, semiconductors, FM stereo and industrial controls); microwave oven and slotted-choke door seal technology; pharmaceuticals and medical devices (ulcer-healing H2 antagonists, antidepressants, antibiotics, antiemetics, AIDS medicines, intraocular lenses, stents, and circulatory aids); chemistry (polymers and adhesives); software and financial services (CMA® central assets account, banking and finance); and consumer goods (detergents, cosmetics, dental care, and personal wipes). Mr. Judlowe has also litigated a number of Lanham Act and other unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, and trademark infringement matters.
Mr. Judlowe has spoken at numerous legal seminars, both in the United States and abroad, at annual meetings of the American Patent Law Association, and at the Licensing Executive Society. He began his career in 1959 at Bell Telephone Laboratories – first as a member of the technical staff and then as a patent attorney – before entering private practice in 1966. He had been a senior partner at Hopgood, Calimafde, Judlowe & Mondolino, LLP for some years before joining Morgan Lewis.
Mr. Judlowe has been recognized by Chambers Global and Chambers USA, as well as the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers and the International Who's Who of Patent Lawyers.
Mr. Judlowe is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
