James F. Wynn is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. Mr. Wynn specializes in all aspects of executive compensation (including golden parachutes, employment and severance agreements, and federal and state securities law issues) with a particular emphasis on executive compensation in merger and acquisition transactions and the design and implementation of stock option and employee stock purchase plans. Although he specializes in all aspects of executive compensation, his practice is not so limited. Mr. Wynn’s practice also focuses on a variety of employee benefit matters, including qualified private and public pension plans and health and welfare plans in both a single- and multi-employer context, and insuring compliance with the statutory and regulatory rules related to such plans, including rules arising out of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA and the ADEA.
Mr. Wynn’s deep-rooted interest in this area relates back to his studies at Cornell University’s Industrial Labor Relations School, where he was able to focus his studies in the interdisciplinary field of workplace issues to areas including: human resource management, organization behavior, labor economics, collective bargaining, labor law, and international and comparative labor relations.
Mr. Wynn earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2005 and his B.S. in industrial labor relations from Cornell University in 2002.
Mr. Wynn is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
