Barbara A. Fitzgerald is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Fitzgerald focuses her practice on representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, employment torts, individual and class wage and hour claims, unfair competition, grievance, and arbitration.
Ms. Fitzgerald also counsels clients on matters such as employee terminations; employment contracts and noncompetition agreements; development of employee manuals, policies, and procedures; wage hour compliance; and general employee relations matters.
While Ms. Fitzgerald represents a wide range of industries, she has a particular focus in the entertainment industry. Specifically, she represents motion picture and television production companies, publishers, interactive media producers and other entertainment entities, as well individual writers, directors, actors and producers.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Fitzgerald was a labor and employment partner at an international law firm in Los Angeles.
Ms. Fitzgerald received her J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law in 1990 and her B.S. from the University of California at Davis in 1983.
Ms. Fitzgerald is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
