Melissa J. Mitchell is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Litigation Practice. Ms. Mitchell represents public companies and their employees, financial institutions, securities industry professionals, and other entities and individuals in investigations, examinations, and litigation before the SEC, FINRA, NYSE, and other securities regulators.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Mitchell was an associate in the securities enforcement practice of a large law firm in Washington, D.C. She also served as a law clerk for Judge Federico Moreno of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and interned for the SEC Division of Enforcement.

Ms. Mitchell earned her J.D., with high honors, from Emory University School of Law in 2006, where she served as articles editor for the Emory Law Journal. She earned her B.B.A., summa cum laude and with highest honors, in finance from the University of Georgia in 2003.
