Dawn S. Pittman is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Pittman focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation. She has experience in insurance recovery litigation for corporate policyholders in state and federal courts, including coverage for business interruption, environmental, asbestos, and toxic tort liabilities, as well as directors' and officers' insurance coverage matters.

Ms. Pittman's trial experience includes several multiphased trials, including one environmental coverage case where, after the first phase of the bench trial was successfully litigated, the opposing parties agreed to a stipulated judgment and damages in favor of Ms. Pittman's clients. She also has experience defending corporations in matters involving environmental, toxic tort, and product liabilities, as well as experience with securities, privacy, and white collar/corporate investigation matters. Ms. Pittman provides counseling to clients on indemnity and insurance matters arising from corporate transactions.

Prior representations include environmental and insurance coverage work on behalf of an oil company regarding former retail service stations throughout the southern and southeastern United States, which resulted in a multimillion-dollar recovery. More recently, in one of the largest cases of its kind, she coordinated the client response in a white collar corporate investigation involving numerous governmental agencies and multijurisdictional privacy issues. Ms. Pittman is currently handling a complex commercial litigation case involving a challenge to a corporate transaction, including alter-ego and fraud allegations.
