Marilynn L. Schuyler is the director of Affirmative Action (AA) Program Development for Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Schuyler provides clients with strategic advice related to all aspects of Affirmative Action Compliance, while managing the development of Affirmative Action Plans consistent with OFCCP regulations. She has successfully led clients through audits, from notice of audit to notice of compliance, and develops compliant compensation analyses and all other analyses required for responses to OFCCP. Ms. Schuyler also provides advice and counsel on the Internet Applicant Rule and all related aspects of applicant tracking and recordkeeping.
Ms. Schuyler has been working in the field of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity in private, public, and quasi-public sectors since 1988. Within the Department of Labor, she served as the assistant district director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs’s Oakland, California, office; the department-wide affirmative action officer; and the San Francisco regional civil rights officer. She also served as the affirmative action officer for the Office of the President at the University of California, for whom she prepared the Affirmative Action Plan for four years.
Ms. Schuyler previously worked as an economist with the Department of Labor for eight years, and graded the California bar exam for two years. She is a certified mediator, and has conducted mediations since 1996.
Mr. Schuyler received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1996, where she edited for the Poverty Law Journal and received first place at the first annual Negotiations Competition. She received her B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1987.
Ms. Schuyler is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
