Kell M. Damsgaard is the Leader of Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. His practice focuses on complex litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property, technology, and product liability issues.

He has handled matters involving computer hardware, software, building products, pharmaceuticals, and corporate transactions.

Mr. Damsgaard has extensive trial experience and has tried complex cases before juries in federal and state courts across the country. Some of the cases he has recently tried for business plaintiffs resulted in jury verdicts that ranked in the top verdicts in the country. LifeNet Health v. MTF, U.S. Dist. Ct. for E.D. Va. ($23 million)(2007); L.G.Philips LCD Co. v. Chunghwa Picture Tubes, U.S. Dist. Ct. for C.D. Cal. ($53.5 million)(2006); Lester Bldg Systems v. Louisiana-Pacific Corp., McLeod Cty., Minnesota ($29.6 million)(2003).

Some of his significant cases include: Sandpiper Village v. Louisiana-Pacific, 428 F.3d 831 (9th Cir. 2005); Crawford v. SAP America, 147 Fed. Appx. 234 (3rd Cir. 2005); Prudential v. U.S. Gypsum, 359 F.3d 226 (3d Cir. 2004); Lester Bldg. Systems v. Louisiana-Pacific Corp., 2004 WL 291998 (Minn. App. Feb. 14, 2004); Hamm v. Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals, Inc., 187 F.3d 941 (8th Cir. 1999); In re Tutu Wells Contamination Litigation, 120 F.3d 368 (3d Cir. 1997); Perlmutter v. U.S. Gypsum, 4 F.3d 864 (10th Cir. 1993); In re Merritt Logan, Inc., 901 F.2d 349 (3d Cir. 1990); Tioga v. U.S. Gypsum, 984 F.2d 915 (8th Cir. 1993); Witmer v. Exxon Corp., 434 A.2d 1222 (Pa. 1981).

Mr. Damsgaard is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
