Paul D. Weller is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Weller's practice focuses on a wide range of commercial litigation, including class actions. He has litigated claims ranging from breach of contract, fraud, and tortious interference with business relationships to product liability, consumer fraud, deceptive trade practices, and securities violations.
Mr. Weller is a trial lawyer. His recent representations include denial of a preliminary injunction after a five-day trial in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, a unanimous defense verdict on a $25 million tortious interference claim, affirmance by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals of a district court decision granting both a summary judgment motion and a Daubert motion in favor of his client, and a unanimous defense verdict in a high-profile defamation case.
Mr. Weller also has experience in a wide range of intellectual property and First Amendment litigation, including matters involving trademark infringement, false advertising, unfair competition, dilution, invasion of privacy, defamation, theft of trade secrets, copyright infringement, and patent infringement.
Mr. Weller regularly serves as a guest speaker on matters ranging from trial practice to diversity. Mr. Weller has co-chaired the Intellectual Property Owners Trade Secret Committee presentations at the IPO’s annual meeting, as well as panels for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He has been recognized in the past as a Pennsylvania “Super Lawyer.”
Mr. Weller believes in pro bono work. In addition to representing individual clients in need, he is a member of the Child Policy Committee for the Support Center of Child Advocates and a member of the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent.
Mr. Weller is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York.
