Kevin B. Dreher is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Dreher's practice focuses on commercial litigation with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation. His insurance coverage counseling and litigation experience spans a wide range of insurance disputes, including those involving first-party property, business interruption and contingent business interruption, D&O, professional liability, public officials liability, products liability, environmental and asbestos liability, and more. Mr. Dreher's insurance coverage practice is nationwide and has involved litigation in jurisdictions throughout the United States.
Mr. Dreher regularly represents and counsels Fortune 500 companies in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including general commercial business disputes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and other business tort matters. Mr. Dreher also has dealt with matters involving outsourcing, product liability, bankruptcy, class action defense, white collar defense, and corporate investigations.
Mr. Dreher has authored a number of articles and publications on insurance coverage and other topics. He also is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education courses on various insurance coverage issues and has taught courses at the University of Illinois in the areas of trial advocacy and public speaking.

Representative Insurance Coverage Litigation Matters
Prosecuted various bad-faith and breach-of-contract actions against insurers of retail companies for failure to provide personal and advertising injury coverage under commercial general liability policies for claims arising under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act.
Represented a farm equipment manufacturer, as a member of a trial team, in a San Francisco state court in pursuit of commercial general liability coverage due to underlying suits alleging exposure to asbestos.
Prosecuted various first-party, business interruption, contingent business interruption, and extra expense claims arising out of losses suffered by corporations in various industries due to Hurricanes Wilma, Rita, and Katrina, as well as to other catastrophic events.
Prosecuted bad-faith and breach-of-contract action in the Eastern District of Michigan against multiple insurers for failure to provide a municipality with public officials’ insurance coverage.
Represented Fortune 500 construction and media companies against insurers in a liquidation proceeding to obtain direct access to insurance proceeds from reinsurers.
Representative Commercial Litigation Matters
Defended various Fortune 500 retailers against class action claims alleging violation of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act.
Defended and counseled a Fortune 100 company in connection with investigations into privacy issues initiated by various state and federal agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the U.S. Attorney General, and the California State Attorney General.
Provided prelitigation investigation and counseling to several Fortune 100 companies in connection with restructuring and termination of multimillion-dollar outsourcing contracts.
Defended a Fortune 100 retailer, as a member of a trial team, in an adversarial bankruptcy matter before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Coordinated the defense of more than 300 asbestos product liability suits in Illinois against Fortune 500 multinational manufacturing and service companies.
