Robert B. Edesess is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Mr. Edesess has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in the United States and dozens of foreign countries, and he has counseled clients on strategically developing their patent portfolios. Mr. Edesess has experience with a wide range of technologies, including electromechanical devices, semiconductor manufacturing, biolabs-on-a-chip, fuel cells, and software. He has handled various litigation matters as a member of several patent litigation teams. Mr. Edesess's pro bono practice has included a not-for-profit dissolution and disposition and landlord-tenant settlement conferences.

Mr. Edesess worked for several years as engineer and marketing associate in the automotive, software, and commercial goods industries. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Edesess was an associate in the patent group of a large international law firm.

Mr. Edesess received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2005. While in law school, he researched CAN-SPAM violations at the Federal Trade Commission as an intern and drafted memorandum opinions for Judge Guzman of the Seventh Circuit as an extern. He received his M.B.A., with distinction, from DePaul University in 2005 and his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Tufts University in 1998.

Mr. Edesess is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
