Jaime N. Morris is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Morris represents employers in a broad array of labor and employment law matters. Her practice includes cases involving discrimination, retaliation, and sexual harassment before New Jersey federal and state trial and appellate courts, and with administrative agencies such as the EEOC and New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. She also has experience representing employers in temporary restraining order/preliminary injunction matters in New Jersey state chancery court. In addition, Ms. Morris has trial experience in both New Jersey state and federal courts.
In addition to litigation, Ms. Morris counsels employers in a variety of labor and employment matters, including wage payment and overtime issues, accommodation of employee disabilities and medical leaves, harassment claims, employee disciplinary issues, individual and group termination decisions, and plant closings. She has participated in internal investigations of various harassment and discrimination claims and has negotiated settlement, employment, noncompete, and separation agreements. Ms. Morris also has been involved in the preparation of labor strike injunction papers for various employers in New Jersey.
Ms. Morris earned her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Boston College Law School in 2003, where she was an articles editor for the Boston College Law Review. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in political science from West Virginia University in 2000.
Ms. Morris is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
