Rita E. Tautkus is of counsel in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Tautkus focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation and complex business litigation.
Ms. Tautkus' clients have included Fortune 500 and emerging growth companies. She has represented clients in industries such as information imaging technology, wireless telecommunications, DNA arrays, embedded software, printed circuit boards, banking and utilities.
Ms. Tautkus' business litigation background includes actions for joint ventures, investor and license agreements, technology and utility contracts, and complex accounting actions. She has also handled patent infringement litigation for the telecommunications, manufacturing and biotechnology sectors, as well as trade secret litigation and trademark matters.
Prior to pursuing her legal career, Ms. Tautkus was a financial analyst for Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, California for seven years. She handled multimillion dollar projects for Intel's semiconductor manufacturing operations, peripheral components, and sales and marketing divisions. Before joining Morgan Lewis, she was of counsel at a California-based law firm.
Ms. Tautkus received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1992, where she was comments editor of the Santa Clara Law Review. She received her M.B.A. from Santa Clara University in 1987 and her B.A. in economics from the University of California, Davis in 1982.
Ms. Tautkus is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and all U.S. District Courts of California.
