Xiao "Shawn" Peng is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice in the Greater China Group. Mr. Peng's practice focuses on corporate law in Greater China, with a particular emphasis on mainland China. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, foreign direct investment, and cross-border transactions.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Peng was an associate in one of the top law firms in China. He participated in a number of mergers and acquisitions and venture capital financing, and he acted as legal counsel in various industries, including liasing with government authorities on behalf of clients. Mr. Peng also has advised financial investment groups.
Mr. Peng earned his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2005. He earned his Master of Laws from Tsinghua University School of Law, China in 2000 and his B.S. in mathematics from Tsinghua University, China in 1997.
Mr. Peng is admitted to practice in New York only. He is also a qualified financial analyst in China.
