Merry L. Biggerstaff is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Ms. Biggerstaff focuses her practice on a variety of intellectual property matters, including U.S. and international trademark prosecution and litigation, copyright infringement, and transactional and litigation matters involving technology and the Internet. In addition, she handles IP matters related to M&A transactions, licensing, and franchising.

Ms. Biggerstaff received her J.D., with a certificate in refugee and humanitarian emergencies, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2008. While in law school, she worked as an intern for the Illinois Attorney General's office and the American Bar Association, and as a law clerk for the Intellectual Property Practice of Morgan Lewis.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Biggerstaff was a design director at an award-winning design firm in California, where she developed and implemented brand systems and e-business strategies for Fortune 500 companies in the high-tech sector. She also has assisted in the launch and creation of the original branding and visual corporate identity for more than 40 startup companies. She has received numerous awards for her work, and her firm was invited to speak with Stanford's MBA global entrepreneur class. She received her B.F.A. in fine arts from East Carolina University in 1997.
