Vijay Rathour is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. His practice involves a wide range of commercial dispute resolution work including litigation and arbitration. Vijay has worked extensively with lawyers from many jurisdictions and is familiar in dealing with complex jurisdictional and conflicts of law issues.

Amongst others, Vijay has acted in lengthy high-profile disputes involving a major Japanese bank which necessitated a detailed examination of issues of English, Czech, Caymanian, and Swiss law, and a matter involving a Macedonian oil company in relation to an oil supply agreement. He also has assisted in a matter relating to potential class liability in the UK arising from asbestos exposure.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Vijay worked at a prestigious law firm, where he assisted in an international product litigation dispute and worked on numerous high-profile banking and finance deals.

Vijay requalified as a solicitor after undertaking the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test at the College of Law of England and Wales, London in 2004. He earned his LLM in international commercial law, with a concentration on the conduct of international commercial litigation, and a focus in conflicts of law in cross-jurisdictional matters and consumer protection law, from the University of Nottingham and the National University of Singapore in 1998. Vijay qualified as a barrister at law at The City University, London, The Inns of Court School of Law in 1997, and earned his LLB from the University of Sheffield in 1997.

Vijay is admitted to practice in England and Wales as a Solicitor.
