Joseph M. Cahill is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice and a member of the eData team.
A vital part of our Litigation Practice, eData is an expanding practice area created at Morgan Lewis to address the impact of electronic data on business and legal strategies.
Our emphasis is on giving practical, real-world advice and services to clients. Combining legal experience with technological know-how, eData brings all aspects of electronic data and records management together. This critical link drives strategic thinking, collaboration, and problem solving.
In addition to litigation support, eData also provides assistance with business transactions. These transactions include mergers and acquisitions, finance and restructuring, and securities, including public and private equity and debt offerings. We offer a comprehensive array of transaction-based services backed by the know-how required to support a successful transaction. Our management of the document production requirements involved in a business transaction expedites these routine and labor intensive tasks in ways that minimize cost and maximize quality.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Cahill served as the general counsel of a Washington, D.C. bank. Before this employment, Mr. Cahill was in private practice representing financial institutions.
Mr. Cahill received his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 1978 and his B.A. from the Catholic University of America in 1975.
Mr. Cahill is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland and before the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Columbia and Maryland and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia and the Fourth Circuits.
