Theresa J. Chung is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Chung represents clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including the defense of complex, multiplaintiff, and single-plaintiff litigation in federal and state courts. She represents employers in class action litigation arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and also litigates complex and single-plaintiff discrimination and harassment cases (including gender, race, age, and disability discrimination and harassment). Her practice has involved all aspects of litigation, including presenting oral arguments to federal courts at the district and appellate level, as well as jury trial experience. Ms. Chung also drafts personnel policies, contracts, and handbooks, and she counsels clients regarding a variety of federal and state employment laws.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Chung was an associate in the employment and labor group of a national law firm in Los Angeles, California from 2003 to 2004. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk to Judge Harry L. Hupp of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, California from 2002 to 2003.

Ms. Chung earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2002 and her B.A., magna cum laude, in social studies from Harvard-Radcliffe College in 1998. She previously served as a law clerk in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Treasury Department and as a junior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C.
