Sacha M. Steenhoek is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Steenhoek represents private and public employers in all aspects of employment law, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment litigation. She has experience defending single- and multiplaintiff cases, as well as class action cases, with a particular focus in wage and hour litigation.
Ms. Steenhoek also has experience litigating matters in Immigration Court, as an attorney representing clients in asylum cases and withholding of removal. She has represented individuals on affirmative VAWA applications. Previously, Ms. Steenhoek worked at the Executive Office for Immigration Review in San Francisco, assisting immigration judges in drafting decisions on asylum and deportation cases.
Ms. Steenhoek earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2007, where she was a member of the Hastings Law Journal. While in law school, she participated in two Moot Court competitions, was a member of the Thurston Honor Society, and was named to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Steenhoek earned her B.A. in sociology from Grinnell College in 2000.
