Timothy E. Parks

Director of Business Development

Timothy E. Parks is Morgan Lewis's director of business development for the Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Parks is responsible for expanding the firm's corporate transactional practice. He works with attorneys in all of the firm's domestic and international offices to develop strategic business development opportunities for the firm, particularly in the industry sectors of mergers and acquistions, private equity, energy transactions, real estate finance, restructuring, and emerging business and technology.

Mr. Parks brings a broad range of senior-level business experience, having most recently served as the president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance (PRA). In this role, he marshaled private sector resources while simultaneously working with government staff to enhance job growth and wealth creation in the Pittsburgh region. Prior to his position with the PRA, Mr. Parks was president of the Pittsburgh Technology Council for 12 years. Under his leadership, the Council grew from only 38 members at inception to become the largest regional technology trade association in the country with more than 1,200 members. Mr. Parks also founded and led the Pennsylvania Technology Council, an industry coalition that advocated for entrepreneurial, innovative, and growth driven agenda for Pennsylvania. He also served in an advisory role in the creation and refinement of more than a dozen regional and state technology associations, including the Eastern Technology Council, the Northern Virginia Technology Council, and the New Orleans Technology Council.

Mr. Parks received his M.P.A from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs in 1982 and his B.A. in history from Duke University in 1972.
