Shweta Gera

Associate

Shweta Gera is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Gera focuses her practice primarily on employment litigation in both state and federal courts, with an emphasis on defending wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, and sexual harassment claims. She has represented pro bono clients in guardianship, unlawful detainer, and asylum matters.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Gera was a litigation associate at a large California firm.

Ms. Gera received her J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2004, where she was a member of the Texas Law Review and manuscript editor for the American Journal of Criminal Law. She was also selected as a member of Chancellors and named to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Mr. Gera spent a semester abroad at the University College of London, England. She received her B.A. in mass communication from Louisiana State University in 2000.

Ms. Gera is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
