Alan B. Leeds is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Leeds's practice focuses on advising and representing companies and investors in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, as well as venture capital financings. He regularly serves as outside counsel to these companies on corporate matters.
Mr. Leeds has extensive transactional experience representing and advising life sciences and technology companies that range from early-stage biotechnology startups to global pharmaceutical companies. He advises these clients on a variety of transactions, including the negotiation and structuring of strategic alliances and other complex collaborations, corporate partnering arrangements, licensing transactions, supply and distribution arrangements, co-promotion arrangements, and joint ventures. In addition, Mr. Leeds advises on financing transactions such as equity investments and royalty monetizations with a focus on the life sciences industry.
Mr. Leeds has recently co-written an article titled "Dividing the Intellectual Property Pie in the Life Sciences Industry: Issues to consider prior to granting licenses to various collaboration partners" and is also a contributor to Morgan Lewis's Emerging Life Sciences Companies Deskbook.
