Scott A. Morehouse is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Real Estate Practice. Mr. Morehouse represents domestic and foreign clients in a wide variety of real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on real estate acquisitions, sales and finance. He also counsels major REITS, pension funds, banks, insurance companies, credit companies and private investors in connection with their proposed and existing real estate purchases, financings and holdings.

Additionally, Mr. Morehouse assists clients with the structuring and execution of acquisitions of all major commercial property types, including office buildings, major retail malls and shopping centers, hotels, multifamily residential, industrial and land. He assists in the structuring of investment and ownership vehicles involving foreign and domestic investors in the purchase and operation of real estate projects including real estate development joint ventures. In this role, he assists clients in loans on all types of commercial real estate, including office buildings, shopping centers, multifamily projects, industrial property, condominiums and undeveloped or partially developed land.

Mr. Morehouse has handled complex multistate transactions, including portfolio acquisitions, dispositions and financings, and represents lenders and borrowers in permanent, development and construction loans. He also has worked on closure and redevelopment of military installations.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Morehouse was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm.

Mr. Morehouse is admitted to practice in California, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
