Charles "Chip" B. Moldenhauer is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Energy Practice. Mr. Moldenhauer assists with the representation of electric utilities and other clients in the nuclear industry on a variety of regulatory and litigation matters before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), other agencies, and the federal courts. His practice includes advising on NRC licensing and enforcement proceedings, nuclear safety and regulatory compliance, employment discrimination, and related matters.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Moldenhauer was a judicial law clerk for Judge James P. Salmon of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He received his J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2007, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Trials Team and the Journal of Law, Philosophy & Culture.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Moldenhauer served as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy. He qualified as a steam plant engineering watch officer and served as an electrical engineer and Iranian intelligence team leader. Mr. Moldenhauer earned his B.S., with merit, from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2000, where he was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.

Mr. Moldenhauer is admitted to practice in Maryland only.
