Tara S. Lawler is a senior attorney in Morgan Lewis's eData Practice. Ms. Lawler focuses her practice on complex litigation, such as state and federal civil litigation matters with an emphasis on product liability and toxic tort litigation, commercial litigation, and white collar litigation. She advises clients on legal, technical, and strategic issues in various industries including the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and investment industries.
eData is an innovative practice group founded by Morgan Lewis to address the impact of electronic data on business and legal strategies. Ms. Lawler employs eData's time-tested and proven "best practices" for preserving, harvesting, processing, reviewing, and producing large quantities of hard copy and electronic data in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Ms. Lawler provides start-to-finish litigation management, from legal holds and preservation, to negotiations with opposing counsel, to discovery motion practice, and trial support. She works closely with clients to preserve potentially relevant information, develop strategies for collecting hard copy and electronic materials, establish a document review process, and assess various document production options.
Ms. Lawler has experience in many aspects of litigation, including pretrial case management, preparing company witnesses, conducting company interviews, and assisting clients with government investigations and related civil litigation.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Lawler was an associate in the litigation practice of a national law firm.
Ms. Lawler earned her J.D., cum laude, from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2002, where she served as a managing editor of the Temple Law Review and was a recipient of the Elden S. Magaw and Mildred H. Magaw scholarship award for excellence in the study of contract law. She earned her B.A., cum laude, in psychology from Villanova University in 1995, where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Psi Chi honor societies.
Ms. Lawler is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
