Karen Amatangelo-Block

Firmwide Director of Attorney Recruiting

Karen Amatangelo-Block is Morgan Lewis's firm director of attorney recruiting. In this position, she is responsible for managing firmwide recruiting programs, including the on-campus interview program, the summer associate program, lateral hiring, law school relations, and firmwide events. Ms. Amatangelo-Block leads a team of more than 15 professionals across offices and works with human resources, practice groups, and local office administrative staff to oversee strategic initiatives related to recruiting, retention, diversity, integration, and other legal personnel initiatives.

Ms. Amatangelo-Block joined Morgan Lewis in 2005 as a recruiting manager in the Washington, D.C. office. In 2007, she became the firmwide director. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Amatangelo-Block was a recruiting professional at two other law firms and has been working in the field of attorney recruiting since 1998.

Ms. Amatangelo-Block earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. She received the National Association of Women Lawyers "Outstanding Woman Law Graduate Award" upon graduation. She received her A.B. with a concentration in political science from the University of Michigan in 1990.
