Meredith W. Cook is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Cook's practice focuses on providing general corporate advice and on advising and representing public and private companies in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, as well as venture capital financing.

Ms. Cook has represented and advised life sciences companies that range from early-stage biotechnology startups to global pharmaceutical companies, including negotiation and structuring of strategic alliances and other complex collaborations, licensing transactions, co-promotion arrangements, and joint ventures. She also represents alternative energy and other emerging growth technology companies in a variety of financing, acquisitions, divestitures, and other general corporate matters. Ms. Cook has experience with clients doing business in China and is conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Cook represented financial institutions and borrowers in merger and acquisition financings, project financings, and syndicated financings, as well as companies in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, with a focus on the energy sector.

Ms. Cook earned her J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in 2001, where she was executive editor of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law. She earned her B.A., cum laude, in East Asian studies from Princeton University in 1996.

Ms. Cook is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
