Michael Pillion is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Global Outsourcing Group and is a member of the Firm’s Technology Steering Committee.

With a background of more than twenty years in business and technology transactional matters, Mr. Pillion counsels clients on outsourcing and technology transactions, including information technology (ITO) and business process outsourcing (BPO); mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; and joint ventures, strategic alliances, and distribution and supply agreements.

Mr. Pillion advises and represents a broad range of clients, including those in the pharmaceutical and life sciences, financial services, software, telecommunications and other technology-based industries. He assists his clients with the strategy development, structure, negotiation and implementation of commercial transactions, with a focus on governance arrangements, change management protocols, contract administration and supplier compliance strategies.

In recent years, among his many representations, Mr. Pillion has counseled several major pharmaceutical companies in outsourcing and other transactions including clinical services and data management outsourcing transactions, a major food services provider and a leading provider of employee benefits in human resources outsourcing (HRO) transactions, and a major Mid-Atlantic retail chain and a leading distributor of office equipment in warehouse and logistics outsourcing transactions.

Mr. Pillion is a frequent speaker on technology and outsourcing matters. He has authored several articles and has been quoted in several leading legal and business journals.

Mr. Pillion is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
