Catherine P. McLoughlin is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. The lawyers in our Business and Finance Practice focus on mergers and acquisitions (including joint ventures, spin-offs, and strategic alliances), finance and restructuring, securities (including public and private equity and debt offerings), and tax. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies to investment banks to emerging market companies.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Catherine worked for two leading international law firms in London. Most recently, she was a director at a global Japanese investment bank, where for six years she was head of the bank's corporate finance transaction management team. She was responsible for the execution of the bank's private equity and corporate finance transactions in healthcare and technology fields and was also responsible for management of the bank's risk profile in the health care and technology sectors. Catherine has experience in cross-border and domestic M&A, as well as UK takeovers and listings (both AIM and full list). In 2000, she was nominated as one of The Lawyers' "In-House Stars of the Millennium," and was particularly noted for her M&A knowledge.

Catherine earned her LSF and her CPE from the College of Law of England and Wales, London, and her BA (Hons) in English literature from the University of Oxford.

Catherine is admitted to practice in England and Wales as a Solicitor.
