Paul A. Richler is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Richler’s practice focuses on complex litigation, including unfair trade practice claims, commercial disputes, insurance coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and fraud claims.

Mr. Richler is a seasoned trial lawyer and has served as lead counsel in numerous matters. Mr. Richler served as lead trial and appellate counsel in the four-month trial of People of the State of California v. Alliance for Mature Americans, which led to the complete exoneration of defendant Fremont General Corporation. That case also resulted in a published opinion of the California Court of Appeal upholding Fremont General’s right to recover almost $1 million in costs from the State.

In addition to Fremont General, Mr. Richler has represented a wide range of clients in significant litigation, including Bombardier Capital Inc., textile giant Kellwood Company, National American Insurance Company of California, Del Taco Inc., Fuji Bank, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and Black Hills Energy Corp. On behalf of Nationwide, Mr. Richler recently succeeded in obtaining injunctive relief against several offshore carriers in federal court for trademark violation and unfair competition.

Mr. Richler is active in professional organizations.
