On December 22, 2006, the UK Government published The Companies (Registrar, Languages and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2006. Under the Regulations, from January 1, 2007, existing and new companies formed and registered in the UK must include the following information on their websites and on electronic business letters or order forms:
- Name of the UK registered company entity
- Company registration number
- Place of registration (i.e. England and Wales)
- Registered office address
An investment company must state that it is such, and a limited liability company that is exempt from using “limited” as part of its name must state the fact that it is a limited liability company.
