PARIS, October 21, 2008: Morgan Lewis today announced the addition of Roland P. Montfort as a partner in its Business & Finance Practice, resident in the firm’s Paris office. His arrival, which includes the addition of three new associates, reflects Morgan Lewis’s continued commitment to meeting the legal needs of corporate clients in Europe.
Mr. Montfort has more than 15 years of international experience, having worked in Brussels, Paris, and Tokyo. Prior to joining French firm Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés, where he coordinated the mergers and acquisitions practice, he was a partner in the Paris office of Weil Gotshal & Manges, LLP.
Mr. Montfort focuses his practice on strategic mergers and acquisitions and related transactions—such as joint ventures, corporate and restructuring, and greenfield projects—on behalf of multinational companies with substantial operations in France. Known for his work in the field of industrial mergers and acquisitions, notably in the aeronautical and automobile sectors, Roland Montfort is the preferred counsel of several large industrial groups. The three associates who join him at Morgan Lewis are Véronique Deau, Olivier Kodjo, and Amélie de Valroger.
They join a Business and Finance team that already spans the United States, Europe, and Asia, with more than 300 transactional lawyers who focus on a wide variety of areas, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, finance, and capital markets.
The Paris office is one of four Morgan Lewis offices in Europe; the firm’s other European offices are in London, Frankfurt, and Brussels.
