LONDON, October 4, 2004: Morgan Lewis announced today that Richard Barratt, a highly regarded intellectual property and technology lawyer, will join its Technology, Commercial and Outsourcing Transactions group as a partner in the firm’s London office.

Mr. Barrat joins Morgan Lewis after nearly 20 years with a leading UK-based law firm where he was a partner and global head of the firm’s intellectual property and information technology practice. A significant focus of his practice is IT and outsourcing work, subjects on which he is considered one of the leading lawyers in the London market. He is also recognized as a leading lawyer in the fields of electronic payments, debit and credit card systems, and sports and media law.

One of Morgan Lewis’ strategic priorities is the area of outsourcing, and it is recruiting accordingly. The firm now boasts outsourcing and managed services lawyers in London, Paris, Tokyo, Palo Alto, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Princeton and San Francisco.
