Ten Morgan Lewis Lawyers Named BTI Client Service All-Stars Marking a BTI Record

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

PHILADELPHIA, February 4, 2014: BTI Consulting Group Inc. announced today that Morgan Lewis has become the first law firm in the 13-year history of BTI’s “Client Service All-Stars” list to place ten attorneys on this esteemed roster in a single year. This year marks the fourth year in a row that Morgan Lewis has had at least three partners on the list.

In the BTI Client Service All-Stars report released today, BTI noted, “Morgan Lewis makes BTI Client Service All-Stars history by breaking into double digit attorney nominations. BTI congratulates Morgan Lewis on this record-breaking achievement. It’s been a year of client service excellence for Morgan Lewis. Recently, the firm was also ranked 4th on the BTI Client Service A-Team.”

The BTI Litigation Outlook 2014 report singled out Morgan Lewis as a class actions and torts “powerhouse” — one of the top four firms clients seek out in class action and mass tort defense. The BTI Litigation Outlook 2014 report also named Morgan Lewis as a “powerhouse” firm in employment litigation — among the top five firms corporate counsel want defending their companies in complex employment litigation.

This year, Morgan Lewis’s Client Service All-Stars include:

  • Robert Abramowitz, Partner, Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice
  • Michael Banks, Partner, Labor and Employment and Litigation Practices
  • John Battenfeld, Partner, Labor and Employment Practice
  • Martin Conniff, Partner, Business and Finance Practice
  • Anne Marie Estevez, Partner, Labor and Employment Practice
  • Charles Jackson, Partner, Labor and Employment Practice
  • Charles O’Connor, Senior Counsel, Labor and Employment Practice
  • Donald Silverman, Partner, Energy Practice
  • Nina Stillman, Senior Counsel, Labor and Employment Practice
  • George Stohner, Partner, Labor and Employment Practice

“We are pleased that so many of our lawyers representing an array of practices have achieved this exceptional client recognition,” said Firm Chair Francis M. Milone. “We work every day to keep excellence and client service as the bedrock of our culture, and it is rewarding to see that effort validated by our clients.”

The BTI Client Service All-Stars 2014 is made up of a select group of attorneys who corporate counsel recognize as client service leaders. BTI asks general counsel and their direct reports to name which attorneys, unprompted, “drive superior client relationships” in order to determine these rankings.

In its All-Star report, BTI notes that general counsel cite six attributes in identifying a lawyer as superior in client service: client focus, innovative thought leader, exceptional understanding of the client’s business, legal skills, outsized value, and outstanding results.
