Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Zane Memeger Returns to Morgan Lewis

PHILADELPHIA, PA, October 2, 2006 – Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is pleased to announce that Zane Memeger has returned to the firm as a partner in the Corporate Investigations and White Collar Practice. Mr. Memeger was most recently an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where he has served with great distinction. He began his legal career as an associate in the Litigation Practice at Morgan Lewis.
“Zane will be integral to the continued expansion of our national Corporate Investigations and White Collar practice,” said James D. Pagliaro, who heads the Litigation practice for the firm. “Many of us maintained relationships with Zane and his wife, Laura, during Zane’s years of government service, and we are thrilled that he is back with us,” Pagliaro continued.
During his 11 years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Memeger handled the investigation and prosecution of a variety of federal crimes, tried several cases and generally distinguished himself as a prominent member of the Organized Crime Strike Force. His efforts included the successful conviction of eight of Philadelphia’s most notorious organized crime figures.
