Government Official Peter Hurtgen Returns to Morgan Lewis: Head of the FMCS and Former Chairman of the NLRB Bolsters Firm’s National Labor and Employment Law Practice

Peter Hurtgen, Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), announced that he will rejoin the national law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as a partner.

Mr. Hurtgen, former Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board, will add to the firm’s nationally known labor and employment law practice.

"It is truly a feather in our cap to have Peter rejoin the firm," said Francis M. Milone, Chair of the firm.  "Peter adds one more significant dimension to our already dynamic national traditional labor law practice," said Mr. Milone.

Recently ranked as one of the top three labor and employment law practices by Corporate Counsel magazine’s "Who Represents America’s Biggest Companies," the firm has more than 200 labor and employment attorneys from coast to coast.  The practice was also cited for its "traditional labor niche and class action prowess" by The American Lawyer in its 2004 Litigation Department of the Year contest.

Mr. Hurtgen will base his practice out of Morgan Lewis’ Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. offices (admitted to practice in the District of Columbia only).
