New York, October 30, 2007: On October 19, 2007, New York Litigation Partner Ben A. Indek was elected to the board of directors of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP). He will serve a three-year term on NSCP’s board.

Formed in 1987, NSCP is a nonprofit organization serving and supporting securities industry compliance officers. Among other activities, NSCP provides practical guidance to its members on compliance-related matters, alerts members to important regulatory developments, sponsors educational meetings throughout the country, and promotes professionalism among compliance officers at broker-dealers and investment advisers.

Mr. Indek began his career as a compliance officer at E.F. Hutton & Co. and regularly represents investment banks and their employees, including compliance officials, in SEC, SRO, and state securities commission investigations. He is excited to work with NSCP’s board to continue to enhance the role of compliance officers in the securities industry.
