WASHINGTON, D.C.: Charles I. Cohen, a partner in Morgan Lewis’s labor and employment practice and a former member (1994-96) of the National Labor Relations Board, testified this morning before a joint hearing of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Subcommittee on Employment and Workplace Safety and the House Committee on Education and Labor Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor and Pensions.
He will be available to comment today to members of the media regarding his testimony, in which he shared his belief—based on decades of experience in this field—that the Board’s recent decisions do not constitute the sea change claimed by unions.
The hearing on “The National Labor Relations Board: Recent Decisions and Their Impact on Workers’ Rights” took place at 10:00 a.m. in room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.
