San Francisco, February 16, 2006 — L. Julius M. Turman joins Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as an of counsel in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. Based in the San Francisco office, Mr. Turman brings his considerable trial and counseling experience to our West Coast labor and employment law team.
Mr. Turman has had a dynamic and impressive career defending employers in a broad spectrum of employment issues such as wage and hour litigation, discrimination, workplace investigations, employment agreements and wrongful termination.
Mr. Turman served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge John J. Hughes and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New Jersey, and later served as corporate counsel to Ketchum Worldwide Communications.
"Julius adds considerable trial skill and experience to our California employment practice," said Francis M. Milone, chair of the firm. "With his deep knowledge of employment issues and his commitment to public service and diversity, Julius is a welcome addition to our team,” said Mr. Milone.
Mr. Turman received his B.G.S. degree in 1987 from the University of Michigan and his J.D. in 1992 from Rutgers University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California, New Jersey and New York.
