On March 27, Peter J. Hurtgen, a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice and former chairman of the National Labor Relations Board, provided testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) on "The Employee Free Choice Act: Restoring Economic Opportunity for Working Families." Mr. Hurtgen spoke on the debate between secret ballot union elections and the card check method of determining union representation.
