Morgan Lewis Opens New Office in Houston with Addition of Brady Edwards and Sandra Krider

Houston, TX, January 2, 2007 – Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is pleased to announce that it has opened a new office in Houston, and that Brady Edwards and Sandra Thourot Krider have joined the firm as partners. Houston is the second firm office in Texas. The firm opened an office in Dallas in 2004. Mr. Edwards and Ms. Krider will be joined by three lawyers (one of whom will be in Washington, D.C.) from their prior firm, Edwards, Burns & Krider LLP.
"Brady, Sandy and their team are excellent lawyers, and will give us a solid base in Houston for future growth and expansion in litigation and other practice areas," said Francis M. Milone, Chair of Morgan Lewis.

Mr. Edwards's practice covers the full range of product liability and toxic tort matters, particularly the defense of serial mass tort litigation, both in Texas and across the country. After studying law at Baylor University, where he obtained his degree cum laude in 1995, Mr. Edwards completed a federal district court clerkship. He then practiced in the trial section at Baker Botts for six years. In 2001 Mr. Edwards co-founded his own firm, Edwards, Burns & Krider LLP, a litigation boutique well-known in the Houston area for high quality legal work in the areas of product liability, toxic tort and commercial litigation.
Ms. Krider's practice focuses on commercial litigation, product liability and insurance recovery, with an emphasis on complex briefing and appeals. She has extensive experience in state and federal appellate practice. She studied law at the University of Chicago and obtained her degree with honors in 1998. Ms. Krider began her career at Baker Botts working with Mr. Edwards, and joined him at Edward, Burns & Krider LLP shortly after he launched the firm.
The firm also expanded its significant product liability practice with the addition of Steven Luxton in its Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Luxton also practiced with Edwards, Burns & Krider LLP.
