Sithe Energies owns and operates 27 power generation facilities with approximately 3800 megawatts of net generating capacity and has another 2500 megawatts of capacity under construction.
- Edison Mission Energy’s $1.8 billion acquisition of the 1800 megawatt Homer City Generating Plant
- Edison Mission Energy’s $986 million synthetic lease financing for turbine generators with Societe Generale
- The acquisition by Exelon and/or AmerGen of interests in the Three-Mile Island, Unit 1, Clinton, and Oyster Creek nuclear generating plants. These transactions involved the first U.S. transfers of nuclear generation from a regulated utility to an independent generating company and required development of strategies for successful resolution of a number of theretofore unprecedented regulatory issues.
- The arbitration of claims by non-operating owners against Northeast Utilities in connection with the extended 1996-1998 outage at the Millstone, Unit 3 nuclear generating plant.

- Representation of PECO Energy in connection with all state and federal regulatory approvals necessary to support the merger of PECO and Unicom into Exelon.
- Edison Mission Energy’s acquisition, development and financing of a 325 megawatt peaking facility in Kern County, California, from Texaco, which will be converted to a 560 megawatt combined-cycle facility. The facility’s output will be sold to the California Department of Water Resources pursuant to a long term Tolling Agreement.
- Black Hill’s acquisition, development and financing of a 230 megawatt peaking facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado from Enron.
- Union Pacific Resources Group $3.5 billion acquisition of Norcen Energy Resources, $1.4 billion sale to Duke Energy of its gas gathering, processing and marketing division, and $10 billion merger with Anadarko Petroleum.
