Morgan Lewis’s litigation and arbitration attorneys work with clients to resolve complex business disputes associated with expanding trade and investment around the world. Our attorneys combine a high level of litigation strategy, creative legal analysis and trial skills with a depth of international arbitration experience and an understanding of intercultural dynamics. As a result, our attorneys move between the arenas of international arbitration and sophisticated international business litigation with great skill and ease, addressing the full range of arbitration-related issues that end up in litigation, as well as significant international litigation that arises independent of arbitration. The attorneys in this practice have represented clients in arbitration proceedings under the LCIA, ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, AAA International, SCC and SMA rules of arbitration, as well as numerous ad hoc arbitral proceedings. Our attorneys are experienced in the drafting of arbitration, choice of forum and choice of law clauses in international commercial agreements and in the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and agreements.

Our attorneys have distinguished themselves professionally in the field. Two of the attorneys in our practice are members of the U.S. State Department’s Study Group on International Arbitration, part of the Secretary of State’s Advisory Committee on Private International Law, and one serves as a U.S. Delegate to the United Nations UNCITRAL Working Group on Arbitration. Our international litigation and arbitration lawyers have written extensively on a variety of topics related to international arbitration and are featured speakers in programs around the world.
