Our London office is made up of lawyers that practice both English and American law. The office was opened in 1981 and works closely with our other offices to service the needs of our international clients accessing the markets in the US, UK and elsewhere in Europe.
Our lawyers advise on the establishment, operation and financing of businesses in the UK covering mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and debt and equity financings in the public and private markets, including listing on the London Stock Exchange as well as a specialist pharmaceutical and biotech team. In addition we have a strong outsourcing team that is closely integrated with our US and European offices.
Our cross-border transactional practice includes the representation of large- and medium-sized US, UK and other European companies in public and private debt and equities financings in the US, including SEC registered offerings and listings on the NYSE and NASDAQ.
Our international tax practice provides UK and US planning and structuring advice for companies and individuals involved in cross-border situations.
Our strong UK litigation team assists clients from around the world in commercial disputes including arbitration in the UK or under English law.
Our office expanded this year to include our new Labour and Employment Law Practice focusing on litigation, employment issues in corporate and sourcing transactions and data privacy issues.
Our cross disciplinary securities industry practice in London draws on partners with experience from industry and who have represented the world's leading financial institutions in a wide range of significant commercial and regulatory, contentious and non-contentious, matters.
