Dallas Office

In 2004, Morgan Lewis opened the Dallas office with the addition of five partners from a prominent national law firm. Since then, the Dallas office has grown to include lawyers focusing on areas of law that include labor and employment, business and finance, employee benefits, and litigation.

Our lawyers in the Labor and Employment Practice assist employers in developing and implementing effective plans for addressing the changing landscape of legal risks they face. Our clients rely on our team to handle their most significant labor and employment law matters, including labor-management relations, single- and multi-plaintiff and class action litigation, benefits litigation and advice, health and safety issues, employment counseling and advice, and workplace training, among others.

Our lawyers in the Business and Finance Practice work on complex transactions across the country for companies expanding internationally and investors establishing a private equity fund (fund formation). We represent a number of private equity groups, companies, fiduciaries, and lenders. Our experience spans from structuring to working with boards of directors, closely held companies, and private equity firms. In the fund formation arena, we advise clients on the formation and operation of the full spectrum of private investment funds. Our interdisciplinary practice brings all of our varied disciplines and experience to focus on the complex business, tax, and regulatory issues associated with fund management. In addition, we have represented ESOP companies selling to strategic buyers or private equity groups, companies using ESOPs as part of their liquidity strategies, banks and private equity funds wishing to invest in ESOP companies, and ESOP companies wishing to access such investors. We also work with many companies to establish good corporate governance.

Our lawyers in the Employee Benefits Practice bring experience and creativity to our ERISA clients. Our ERISA Practice lawyers work with many other benefits lawyers across Morgan Lewis's worldwide offices to bring a level of sophistication, knowledge, and experience few firms can offer. We also work with our Litigation Practice to address ERISA controversies.
